INTRODUCTION
​
Focus for the Future Generation (2FG) is the Non-Governmental Organization registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act number 24 of 2002 as amended from time to time and issued registration Certificate with registration number 00NGO/R/0256 on 26th July 2019 with a mandate to operate nationally, 2FG is headquartered in Kigamboni District Council, Dar es Salaam Region, Tanzania.

2FG is non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization that exists to tackle social, economic and health challenges experienced by youth and children (i.e., Violence against children and youth, HIV/AIDS, SRHR, Malaria, and Poverty) and provide technical assistance to other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Networks in Tanzania. 2FG members noted that Tanzanian children and youth are facing several critical challenges that include high unemployment rate, SRHR challenges HIV/AIDS infection, declining educational and health services standards, poor living conditions, persistent violence against children, gender-based violence and exclusion of people with disability and other disadvantaged groups in the community. Also, there is a constant need of capacity building to CSOs and networks on areas of governance, strategic planning, advocacy, financial management and social entrepreneurship.

2FG exists to prepare youth and children to be healthy, safe, productive and engaged citizens, through life skills training and social-economic empowerment endeavors to build partnerships and initiatives that will enhance civility and promote close relations between citizens and the government. Also, to build capacity of CSOs and networks working with youth and children.

OBJECTIVES

Promoting life skills training and health education (HIV/AIDS and Malaria) to youth and children;

Enable a sense of responsibility and ownership to children and youth.

Create a safe and supportive environment for children and youth.

MANAGEMENT

2FG is managed by the Advisory Board managed by the Board Chair Person which comprises of five (5) members including the Executive Director who is the secretary of the Board and an overseer of all day-to-day activities of 2FG while closely being supported by the Program Manager who is the technical and programmatic staff of 2FG and manages all programs and supports the project and non-project staff of 2FG.
